Breaker, Breaker
It's been quiet here. Maybe, maybe too quiet. But beneath the placid surface of this blog, there lies a crazed maniac bustin' out a whole lot of projects. Here's a peek at some of what's been going on:

My li'l sis is getting married in a few weeks, and I have been feverishly designing a few wee pieces of swag for that. Some painting, some computing, et voilà. Personalized seed packets? Come on!
Next Dana, whose bridesmaids were bedecked in my jewel-y creations late last year has hooked me up with another commission for bridal jewelry for a wedding coming up in May. I can guarantee that an extra pair of these earring inspired by Atlantic coast sea spray will be made, for they are fierce.
Also? Bees! I've been reworking the cartoon bee artwork I did for Courtney a while back (blogged here). The way it was originally designed relied on edge bleeds, and I'm trying to simplify my life by breaking my dependence on foreign printing techniques.
So the bee brings me to this: Finally, finally. I have been toying around with the idea of selling some of the printable PDFs like the ones I have been creating for the last few months. I will still be posting fun freebies here (there's one in the works for later this week, so check back!), but the roar of my friends and family that I SHOULD BE SELLING THIS STUFF has become deafening. To that end, if you'd like a VERY early preview of my plans, check out my new shop!
Oh! And did I tell you my fabric designs are going to be pictured in a magazine article about Spoonflower? "Where?!" you ask, breathlessly. "Specialty Fabrics Review!!!" I shriek like a 12-year-old girl at a Hannah Montana concert. Because, SFR? Totally wallpapered my old bedroom with back issues. Ok, so it's not the most mainstream newsstand mag out there, but it really is a nicely done publication, and the writer was very nice, and I'll take whatever ego stroking I can get! The new issue should be out in the next few days. Exhale!
So that's my 20. Whew.

The word scramble cards in your etsy shop are genius. You need to sell them by the box. I know I need a box of them.
Aw, thanks!
Of course, my theory is that with a PDF, you can have as many boxes as you want.
I tried selling already made paper products, but my "production facility" is my very slow, finicky inkjet printer, and my "order fulfilment" system is racing to the post office after work. I'm such a nerdball perfectionist that every $12 pack of cards was probably costing me about $11.50 and lots of frustration.
So cool! I love the new shop. It has such a great look! And congrats on your feature. Show it here when it comes out!
Very creative ! Have you checked out Ryan's 2nd business, Supermarket.com ? A little less frenetic than Etsy and maybe a good venue for your products :) If you solve your production !
