An elephant never forgets
Though it may seem I've forgotten this wee little blog lately, I promise I have not. I have several projects swirling that aren't quite ready for prime time, but in the meantime, I wanted a way to showcase some of the patterns I have made that I really dig but that probably won't be making it onto fabric anytime soon. It seems like everyone I know is about to have a baby these days, so I've been thinking about the sweet stuffed elephants my mom's friend made for me and my sister when we were babies. Of course, I have neither her sewing skill nor her patience, so stuffed elephants will not be making an appearance at any baby showers in my vicinity anytime soon. Instead, these elephants are ready to be printed, trimmed, and framed (each is 8"x10") for gifting.

But you know, I can never let well enough alone. I had so much fun with the elephants that I wanted to do another animal. I stuck with the exotic theme for these crocodiles. Well, exotic in a preppy kind of way, I guess.

And last, but not least, these are my favorites. I love giraffes--I think they are great for kids, but these are so sophisticated (if I do say so myself) that I'm thinking I might hang the triptych somewhere in our house.

Of course, you can pick and choose the images you want to print--or print them all if you or someone you know is raising the next great animal adventurer and isn't afraid of a whole lotta color and pattern. I'd like to do more of these, but first I'd love to have your suggestions in the comments for animals/color combos.

Giraffes are so hot right now. Love it!
These are too cute! The alligator color combo is my favorite. I just made some jungle animal floor pillows for my sister's kindergarten classroom- what about monkeys or lions?
Aww, these are gorgeous! I love the elephant! Thanks SO much for sharing. These would totally make a nursery! I'll be linking.
You know I love giraffes. Is it genetic? I passed this on to the Elephant lady. I know she will be glad to see that you were inspired by her baby gifts. jam
these are amazing - thank you so much for sharing your talent! love the giraffes, but it seems that 2 and 3 are also linked to 1 instead of their images.

Kelly--thanks for letting me know--I am apparently giraffe challenged, but I have updated the links, and they should work now!
Love them all. But when I tried downloading and only got a red x in a box in upper left hand corner. Help?!?
Darleen--I can't seem to reproduce your problem. I can get them all to come up--I will say that if your connection is slow it may take a while before they load. Try right-clicking and selecting "save-as," and that may work better for you. Good luck!
Thanks. Will try that.
These are adorable!! I would love some dinosaur ones!! How do you make them?
